After receiving a BA in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition from CSULB, Jacob enrolled in the ABT National Training Program. As a teacher he has taught ballet classes at the Onstage Dance Center, Dance Co., and the Dance West Dance Studio. As a Performer he performed with The O.C. Metropolitan Ballet Company for over ten years and his experience includes dancing soloist and corpse roles in: “A Mid Summer Night’s Dream ”, “Petrushka”, and “The Nutcracker”. He has also performed in international dance festivals in Prague, Spain, and Italy. As a student, he performed in over 40 school productions featuring ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, and contemporary dance. His early ballet training was based on classical Russian technique, and in college (CSULB) he studied under Lorin Johnson, Steven Hyde, and Lisa Johnson. He has also taken master classes with Travis Wall, Denise Wall, and Mandy Moore.
